Hello everyone,

I'm Kevin, 26 years old and live in the Netherlands. I'm a senior engineer at DAF-trucks (PACCAR), member of the board of Honda Community Netherlands and member of the Del Sol Area organisastion at Hondafest 2014. I own a Honda Del Sol ESI with D16z6 engine. The car is almost finished, the only thing I want to do is to solve the problem of oil spilling in my short block. Wow, thats one of the cleanest and sexiest Del Sol I´ve ever seen ... and by the way one of the most detailed introductions on MaXReV

By reading your spec-list and looking at these pics, it seems to me, like you want to build the perfect Del Sol and nearly reached your goal. How long have you been working on this blue beauty?

Apart from all the other great modifications you have done to this car which are worth talking about, I fell in love with this engine setup! Now no one can call it a "Del Slow" anymore.

Would you mind posting a dyno chart here or at least telling us, how much hp it puts down to the wheels and / or at the crank?
I also appreciate the fact, that you did some serious D16-tuning instead of just swapping it to a B16 for example, like most of the others do to gain some extra power. :respekt:

Thank you for the compliments! I own this car exactly for 7 years next week. I haven't got the car on the dyno yet. I first want to rebuild the short block first to fix the oil spilling problem. I could stay near a friend of mine with his 218hp B18C Civic. But of course I have a build transmission, and he doesn't. When the short block is finished I will hire a dyno for a half a day together with my tuner, and try to get everything out of the SOHC. Many friends of my tell me that my build D16 runs much better than a build B16, because you have a lot more torque because of the long stroke. And the sound now is amazing, very typical! Just swapping a engine is not fun, you can do that in 2 hours. The engineering thing is the most fun part, do things that no one had ever done. And do things where people say it won't work.

A project car is never finished, but I'm very close that I can say: everything on the car that I want to be modified is done.
